Lindsay Lohan thrown out of Jacobs’ bash at the newly opened Gallery at the Dream Downtown

When a friend of Lindsay Lohan tried to approach door staff at the Jacobs party to let her inside, she was rebuffed several times. “It’s not going to happen,” event organizers repeated. Then after she managed to sneak in and sit at a table, security came over and asked her to please leave. Somebody is on Marc's shite list and it smells like La Lohan.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

MARC JACOBS - LEAVING LARGE

Right before New York Fashion week hit full tilt, designer Marc Jacobs decided to move. A source told the Daily News that Jacobs has left the $20,000-a-month rental at the Chelsea Mercantile that he has lived in since 2009.

The furnished three-bedroom penthouse with an outdoor terrace is now back on the market for $23,000 a month from Corcoran's Andrew Torrey and Noble Black. The listing describes the apartment's souped-up entertainment system as having "every imaginable convenience," and the open kitchen as chock-full of high-end appliances. As one would expect, the spread has "abundant closet space."

New York Magazine hears that Jacobs is moving into one of six townhouses that are part of Superior Ink, a Robert A.M. Stern–designed condo in the West Village, which reportedly has a bike valet. And while we'd normally comment on how absolutely taxing dealing with your bicycle can be, we'll cut Jacobs a break here. He's got to be exhausted.

Angeleen (Woman with horse), c. 1975

For just a few years, tragically cut short by his death in a car accident in 1981, Chris von Wangenheim was riding high as a fashion, editorial, and advertising photographer. His hard, sexy, decadent images survive among the most exemplary illustrations of the high-glamour look of the 1970s. Von Wangenheim found his form early in the decade. His sensibility precisely matched the new fashion trends, whose most distinguished photographic exponents were Helmut Newton and Guy Bourdin. Born the son of an aristocratic German officer in Berlin in 1942, von Wangenheim infused his work with the strong influence of his German roots. His pictures, like those of his hero and mentor—and fellow Berliner—Newton, carry echoes of the decadent aspects of Weimar Berlin. There are references to German Expressionist cinema in his use of low lights that cast dramatic shadows, and there is a cool, even cruel edge to his scenarios that hints at an element of cultural and personal trauma.

Marisa Berenson photographed by Berry Berenson

REMEMBERING Berinthia "Berry" Berenson Perkins (April 14, 1948 – September 11, 2001) was an American photographer, actress, and model. Perkins was also known as the wife of actor Anthony Perkins and died in the September 11 attacks as a passenger on American Airlines Flight 11.

Berinthia Berenson was the younger daughter of Robert L. Berenson, an American diplomat turned shipping executive, who was of Lithuanian Jewish descent; his family's original surname was Valvrojenski. Her mother was born Countess Maria Luisa Yvonne Radha de Wendt de Kerlor, better known as Gogo Schiaparelli, a socialite of Italian, Swiss, French, and Egyptian ancestry.
Her maternal grandmother was the Italian-born fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli, and her maternal grandfather was Count Wilhelm de Wendt de Kerlor, a Theosophist and psychic medium. Her elder sister, Marisa Berenson, became a well-known model and actress. She also was a great-grandniece of Giovanni Schiaparelli, an Italian astronomer who believed he had discovered the supposed canals of Mars, and a great-grandniece of art expert Bernard Berenson (1865–1959) and his sister Senda Berenson (1868–1954), an athlete and educator who was one of the first two women elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame.
Career:
Following a brief modeling career in the late 1960s, Berenson became a freelance photographer. By 1973, her photographs had been published in Life, Glamour, Vogue and Newsweek.
She also appeared in several motion pictures, including Cat People with Malcolm McDowell. She starred opposite Anthony Perkins in the 1978 Alan Rudolph film Remember My Name and opposite Jeff Bridges in the 1979 film Winter Kills.
Marriage :On August 9, 1973, in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Berenson married actor Anthony Perkins. They had two sons: actor-musician Oz Perkins (born February 2, 1974) and folk/rock recording artist Elvis Perkins (born February 9, 1976).[10] They remained married until Perkins' death of AIDS on September 12, 1992.
Death:
Berenson died at age 53 in the September 11, 2001, attacks aboard American Airlines Flight 11, one day before the 9th anniversary of Perkins' death. She was returning to her California home following a holiday on Cape Cod.

ANGELEEN ~ MAY SHE REST IN PEACE

Angeleen was one of photographer Scavullo's favorite girls and she was very in with the Andy Warhol crowd. I remember an article in Interview mag, something about Angeleen and horses. I had the pleasure of working with her myself and she was a very fun person and a top model of her day.

What ever happened to Kathryn Redding...?

Kathryn Redding-14

I met Kathryn in Los Angeles and immediately started working with her on various jobs. Then she went off to New York and right away did a eight page story, shot by Avedon, for American Vogue, followed by some great advertising and more editorial, and then she seemed to disappear. I have always wondered what happened to her......did she get married and raise a family? If anyone knows her whereabouts please bring me up to date.
